Echoes of Light - An Evening to Benefit SafeHeart
Supporting Festival Survivors of the October 7th Massacres
On the morning of October 7th, 4,400 young men and women were at festivals near the Gaza Strip when a horrific and unprecedented terror attack by Hamas changed everything. Thousands are still grappling with extreme trauma, struggling to rebuild their lives. At SafeHeart, we ensure thousands of survivors receive professional psychological care to help them return to daily life alongside their severe trauma, allowing them to recover and grow from this dreadful event.
SafeHeart, a non-profit organization, was established out of this tragic event by therapists from the trance community and leaders of safe spaces at parties and festivals. We aim to provide each survivor professional psychological care from certified professionals, in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner. Our treatments and support encompass all aspects of healing: individual therapy (1:1), group therapy, retreats, body-mind therapies, and family support of the survivors. All our activities are backed by extensive and significant research conducted by Professor Roy Salomon, one of the organization's founders and the head of the Brain Research Lab at the University of Haifa. This pioneering research delves into the relationships between the extreme traumatic event and altered states of consciousness, how they influenced each other, alongside examining treatment methods and their impact on the survivors.
